Jeff Robinson & Pippa Connolly
Jeff Robinson and Pippa Connolly inform us on the current state of sustainability in cities world wide and help us speculate on what innovation opportunities arise in the creation of cities from scratch.
PIPPA CONNOLLY has a background in Building engineering. She graduated with a degree in Architectural Engineering from Leeds University in the UK and joined global design consultancy Arup. Over 27 years with Arup , 14 as a director, she worked on all types of infrastructure and building projects including sculptures, bridges, precinct infrastructure, museums, hospitals and education facilities.
Her career took her from the UK to Singapore , New Zealand and in 1996 to Melbourne , with projects located in those countries , America and other parts of South East Asia. The last 6 years of her time at Arup Pippa led the sustainable buildings group.
Pippa Is currently developing a career as a Non Executive Director and is also delivering the final year capstone unit of Civil and Environmental Engineering Practice at Monash University.
JEFF ROBINSON is Aurecon’s Global Sustainable Buildings Leader. Jeff has worked as a consulting engineer for over 29 years working in London, Ireland and for the last 18 years in Melbourne. mHe has been involved in the design of a wide variety of building types including offices, residential, industrial, academic and institutional buildings and has worked on projects in Australia, New Zealand Africa, the Middle East, Europe and America.
Jeff is a passionate advocate for the design and renovation of Environmentally Sustainable Buildings and communities and has been involved in many of the cutting edge Sustainable buildings and communities in Melbourne and overseas.
Jeff is an Accredited Green Star Professional, a LEED AP and NABERS Assessor and an IS AP and has considerable experience with the practical measures that can be undertaken to substantially improve the energy, water, waste and indoor air quality performance of new and existing buildings.
